How would Jesus vote?

Our special guest is Darrell L. Bock, author of How Would Jesus Vote? Do Your Political Views Really Align With The Bible? As we approach another election year, we hear politicians on both sides of the aisle as well as religious leaders of every stripe claim to know—with absolute certainty—where Jesus and Christianity stand on their favorite issues. Dr. Bock is the Executive Director of Cultural Engagement and Senior Research Professor of New Testament Studies at Dallas Theological Seminary. Dr. Bock has earned recognition as a Humboldt Scholar (Tübingen University in Germany) and as author of over 30 books, including well regarded commentaries on Luke and Acts, studies of the historical Jesus, and work in cultural engagement as host of the Seminary’s Table Podcasts. He is a consulting editor for Christianity Today, and serves on the boards of Wheaton College and Chosen People Ministries. He has been a New York Times best-selling author in nonfiction and is elder emeritus at Trinity Fellowship Church in Dallas.

Finding meaning in everyday life

Our special guest is Tish Harrison Warren, the author of Liturgy of the Ordinary: Sacred Practices in Everyday Life. Andy Crouch wrote the foreword of this dynamic book on finding meaning in everyday life. Tish writes regularly for InterVarsity’s online magazine for women and Christianity Today.

Improving father and son relationships

Our special guest is Kent Evans is the board chairman and co-founder of Manhood Journey, a ministry that helps fathers and mentors build the next generation of godly men. Kent has personally experienced how the guidance of godly men can change the course of a life. “Wise Guys is a careful and clear treatment of the role godly counselors play in the lives of Christians. For those who want to grow in maturity and wisdom, Evans’ book deserves careful consideration.”
